The 10 keys may have literily saved my life. I was completely depondent, hopeless, felt that life wasn't worth living. I was thinking of ways I could end my wretched existence. Then I found this board, one of the first posts I read was Wes announcing that he was giving away free copies of the 10 keys to those who couldn't afford it had issues d/l, etc. due to the generous contributions of those on this board. At the time, I was between paychecks, and couldn't risk buying it or I might not have enough gas to finish the week.

I downloaded it and read in that very day. The help it gave me is beyond words. It helped me understand the addictive voice in my head and gave me tools to deal with it. I saw a rational strategy of dealing with my addiction, beyond the one-day-at-a-time method that just wasn't working for me. My deepest, heartfelt gratitude goes out to Wes and the members of this board. Thank you so very much.

Reading the Ten Keys was the turning point for my husband. I had continually confronted him year after year, and nothing had ever helped him. A little more than a year ago I finally handed him an ultimatum, but even the threat of losing me and our son wasn't enough for him to turn a corner--he never made it past two or three weeks before relapsing. Since reading The Ten Keys in August of 2007, relapses have been few & far between--he went 38 days, 145 days (nearly 5 months) and it's been another four months since the last relapse--and his desire is to never use p or mb again.

And as for me, I used the techniques mentioned in the Ten Keys to tell myself that "I never bite my fingernails now"--and I've had unbitten fingernails for the first time in my life for almost 10 months now. :)

Thanks, Wes!

That was good! Gave me a big old grin!

And yes, I've read the 10 keys to recovery 15-20 times front to back and I still read a chapter a week that applies to that week. I don't read it fron to back anymore. It's part of my regular diet. And I never use Porn or MB now. Working on I never lust now.

Download it. You just can't go wrong.

It's a great read, really allows you to come to an understanding of P addiction.

It is well written and as some good tips of ways to work with the addiction.

I would like to buy this ebook for a good man who is ruining his life with his porn addiction. He knows he has a problem but doesn't know where to begin to stop. Can I buy this, download it under my email, then send it to him? I don't want to just send him a link because he might delete it and I'll lose my purchase. Thank you for your answer.

Of course you may purchase it for a friend and send it to him via email. Information about downloading Ten Keys can be found here.
Just trying to be a really useful engine.

Affirmations: "I never use porn or masturbate now." "I never choose to lust now."

I am writing about my readings on Ten Keys in my journal.

I have adopted the affirmation "I never use porn or masturbate now." "I never choose to lust now." This is working for me thus far. It takes the addict part of me and places it in a vice, allowing it to go nowhere. Wes states that the addict part of us only knows the NOW. Does not understand consequences, does not think about the future. But it does know the meaning of the word, NOW.
This incredibly simplistic thinking is powerful. I understand it.

Thanks Wes for this eBook. I am on chapter 5 now and will continue my reading.

All is well now :-) i have myself a copy! I believe the Paypal website was down but it appears to be working now (obviously... else i wouldnt have my copy by now :p)

Thanks Wes, i've read up to the 3rd Key this afternoon and found it brilliant, with many connections in regards to the 'beast' within us. It also cleared a few things up in regards to what addiction actually is, and when habbits become an addiction. This will be a good read for any PA or P user or partner :-)

Thanks again Wes,

Regards,
Isaac
